Kite Runner
If you have read this book you will know how confusing emotions and families can be. For those that have not yet gotten far enough to pick the book up, it truely is a good read. The story takes place with two friends, Amir and Hassan. These boys go through torment from other Afgans because of Hassan's race. The two are the most different of people and yet they have an unruling connection that won't be told untill its too late. As the plot thickens the two drift away because of Amir's selflessness as a child. With a war raging on the two are separated and Amir along with his father move to America. Soon Amir finds himslf in his homeland once again, and finding the truth about his life that shatters his whole perception of life. Finally kite running becomes part of him again; a smile on his face because Hassan has left an imprint of himself with him. A sad story of betrayal and loyalty twisted by family and fate. This novel will change your life.
